With the launch of Yu Yunique, YU has introduced a competitor to its own device the YU Yuphoria which is priced slightly higher. Both the devices come with 4G LTE support, which seems to be a must have feature these days even in budget smartphones.

Processor
This is one segment where both the devices are equally placed, both the yunique and yuphoria run on the same 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306GPU to help with graphics. So in the processor front there is not much to choose from as both run on the same SoC.
RAM and Storage
Here comes the major difference, with the Yunique having a 1GB RAM compared to the 2GB RAM in the Yuphoria. With the same processor the difference in RAM will surely affect the performance of the Yunique in comparison to its elder sibling the Yuphoria. The Yunique comes with 8GB internal storage, whereas the Yuphoria has 16GB internal storage space. Both the devices can be expanded up to 32 GB using microSD card.
Camera
This is another segment where the difference can be seen, the Yunique comes with 2MP front camera while the Yuphoria sports a 5MP front camera. Both the devices have similar 8MP rear cameras with auto focus and LED flash. The Rs. 2,000 price difference surely can be seen in terms of the front camera adjustment.
OS
The Yunique comes with a really unique option by YU which is giving the user option to select between stock Android 5.1 and Cyanogen 12.0 whereas in the Yuphoria you will be getting Cyanogen 12.0 OS based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. With the option of selecting either Stock Android or Cyanogen the Yunique will surely be faster and more customizable in comparison to the Yuphoria.
Battery
The YU Yunique has a 2000mAh Li-Polymer battery in comparison to the 2230 Li-ion battery although both the devices give out similar battery life with the Yunique giving 7 hours talk time and 271 hours of standby time while the Yuphoria giving 7 hours of talk time and 160 hours of stand by time.
Conclusion
Both the devices are having 4G LTE support and come with similar HD IPS display with a difference in size. The RAM will be one choosing factor, along with the front camera with just a 2MP shooter in the front which makes taking good selfies a distant dream. There is one another major factor which should be considered here, the “Cost” with a smaller screen and lower RAM along with internal storage, the Yunique is Rs. 2,000 cheaper than the Yuphoria.
