The much-awaited a heavily teased Xiaomi Redmi 5 Note Series has finally been launched in India. The company announced two very similar devices, the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Redmi Note 5 comes with slightly lower specs and will be offered at a lower price tag while the Redmi Note 5 Pro will come with slightly bumped up specs for a marginally higher price point.
In this article, we’ll be discussing and comparing the two phones to see how then stand up with each other.
Display
Both, the Redmi Note 5 as well as the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with the same 5.99-inch display and have the FullHD+ resolutions while the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a slightly better contrast ratio at 1500:1 vs 1000:1 found on the Redmi Note 5 according to the spec sheet. There is very little difference in terms of the display that can set apart both the device.
Performance
The performance of the devices will be a key differentiating factor here as they both come with different SoC. The Redmi Note 5 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset with the Adreno 506 graphics while the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with the newer and faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset while retaining the same Adreno 506 GPU.
