Samsung has launched yet another Series of smartphones called the ‘On’ series with two new devices called Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7. The devices are said to be both affordable and design oriented as it gives the appearance of the Galaxy A series and also has decent specs. Samsung has designed the devices with plastic body and the rear is covered with faux leather, the company said that the phones come with unprecedentedly thin frames and bezels.
The Galaxy On5 was recently spotted on Samsung official website, thanks to their accidental listing and the devices seen in China where the official look was unveiled. Both the devices are similar in many aspects although the exact Processor specification of the Galaxy On7 has not been confirmed the rest of the features can give us a proper assessment of how both the devices fare against each other.
Display:
Both the devices come with HD display’s with the difference seen in the display size, with the Galaxy On5 being the smaller one with a 5-inch TFT LCD display with HD resolution and 288ppi with Galaxy On7 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with HD resolution and 267 ppi. The sharpness and the clarity of the Galaxy On5 will be slightly better than the On7 due to the higher pixel density. Apart from that it depends on the user choice of the display size to decide between these two devices.

Processor:
The exact specifications of the galaxy On7 has not been revealed, but it is said to sport a Quad-core 1.2GHz, Cortex A53 processor in comparison to the Exynos 3475 Quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 processor. Both the devices are expected to be powered by the same 32-bit Exynos 3475 processor making them equally placed in terms of processing power.
RAM and Storage:
Both the devices come with 1.5GB of RAM along with 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB using microSD card. There is not much to talk about here as both are similarly placed in this segment.
Camera:
This is one are where the Galaxy On7 is better, with a 13MP rear camera compared to the 8MP rear camera on the Galaxy Go5. Both the devices come with a similar 5MP front facing camera, the better rear camera in the Go7 is an advantage.
Battery:
The bigger Galaxy On7 comes with bigger battery capacity of 3000mAh in comparison to the 2600mAh removable battery in the Galaxy On5. The bigger display surely will be taking up more battery juice compared to the 5-inch display bringing the battery life more or less to the same stage.
Both the devices are equally placed in terms of connectivity options with 4G LTE support for both devices along with dual-SIM card slots and Bluetooth 4.0. Both run on Android v5.1 Lollipop with the usual Samsung TouchWiz over it.
Conclusion:
The major factors which you have to look at while deciding between the two devices in the display size, the Galaxy On7 has a 5.5-inch display compared to the 5-inch display in the Galaxy On5. The camera which is better in the Galaxy On7 having a 13MP shooter compared to the 8MP shooter in Galaxy On5. And obviously the price difference between the two devices which is approximately $50. If you feel the bigger the better, go for the Galaxy On7 and if you want a compact smartphone go for the Galaxy On5.
