OPPO had launched their camera-centric smartphone the OPPO F7, in March 2018. The phone turned out to be a great performer, both in terms of camera and the raw performance, thanks to the 25 MP selfie camera and the Helio P60 chipset that was used in it. Now, OPPO has launched their newest mid-range smartphone through their recently announced sub-brand Realme. Let’s see how does the Realme 1 compete against its parent company’s offering.
Design and Display
In terms of design, the Realme 1 and OPPO F7 are similar to a plastic side frame and flat back design. But the OPPO F7 comes with a proper glass back whereas the Realme comes with a fiberglass. For added rigidity, the OPPO F7 also comes with a metal plate underneath the glass, which the Realme 1 lacks.
Also, the Realme 1 has only one microphone and no fingerprint scanner, while the OPPO F7 comes with dual microphones and also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Realme has a 6 inch 18:9 FullHD+ IPS LCD display with 1080x2160p resolution. OPPO F7 comes with the trendy 19:9 notched FullHD+ IPS LCD display that has a resolution of 1080×2280 pixels.

Both the phones are powered by the Mediatek Helio P60 chipset along with the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. The Realme comes in 3 GB, 4 GB, and 6 GB RAM options, whereas the OPPO F7 comes only in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM.
It’s a similar story with the storage, the Realme 1 comes in 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB storage variants, while the OPPO F7 comes only in 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants. Both the phones come with storage expansion using the dedicated microSD card slot.
Cameras
The Realme 1 has a single 13 MP rear camera comes with AI recognition technology and can shoot videos at 1080p. The OPPO F7, on the other hand, comes with a single 16 MP F/1.8 camera which has AI scene recognition technology.
To the front, the Realme 1 has an 8 MP selfie shooter with a F/2.2 aperture, which is no match when pit against the whopping 25 MP selfie camera on the OPPO F7.
OS and Interface
The two phones run on Color OS 5.0 based on top of Android 8.1 Oreo, as both the phones are from the same parent company. The Color OS interface offers useful features such as gestures, game acceleration mode, built-in screen recorder and many more features. The interface is heavily customized to give an iOS-esque feel.
Battery
Both the phones have almost similar battery capacities, 3410 mAh on the Realme 1 and a 3400 mAh battery on the Oppo F7. Both the phones lack any sort fast charge support.
Price
The Realme 1 is priced at Rs 8999 for the 3 GB RAM/ 32 GB internal storage, 4 GB RAM/ 64 GB internal storage is priced at Rs. 10,999 and the 6 GB RAM/ 128 GB internal storage variant would cost you Rs. 13990.

Clearly looks for a premium phone at mid range price will have to compromise on some features so real me 1 looks a good buy, thanks
Oppo F7 are better than Realme 1 in most of the segment but price difference between those are so big & we can’t neglect it all so for value for money Realme 1 is best while if budget doesn’t matters than Oppo F7 ie best.
