Google has announced two new smartphone in the 2015 Nexus launch event, along with the two device came many other launches like the Chromecast 2.0 and Chromecast Audio along with the Google Pixel C tablet. The two main attractions of the event were the Nexus 6P, which is manufactured by Huawei, and the LG-manufactured Nexus 5X.
Both the devices are designed to target users with different taste and need, let us look at the differences between the two smartphones released today, the Nexus 6P and the Nexus 5X. Apart from the obvious screen size difference there are other differences between the devices too.
Display
The bigger of the two is the Huawei Nexus 6P which sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, the Nexus 5X on the other hand sports a 5.2-inc full HD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and having pixel density of 423ppi. The main difference is the display size which is the major factor to decide between the two devices.
The Nexus 6P is bigger and better in terms of resolution and display clarity with a top of the line QHD display in comparison to the full HD display in Nexus 5X. The Nexus 6P although having a 5.7-inch display is said to be built in a device which is similar to the 5.5-inch display device thanks to the higher screen to body ratio.

Processor
The Nexus 6P comes with a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1, Octa-Core 64-bit processor in comparison to the Nexus 5X having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, 1.8GHz processor which is slightly lower powered. The Nexus 6P comes with 3GB of RAM and the Nexus 5X comes with 2GB of RAM support, both the devices come with similar internal storage space option of 32GB.
Camera
Both the devices sport similar camera modules with the rear camera being a 12.3MP rear camera with 1.55 μM pixels along with laser Autofocus and 4K video recording. The pixel size is said to be bigger than the iPhone 6, which lets more light to be absorbed by the pixels and work great in low light conditions. The front facing camera is a 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture and 1.4 μM pixels in both the devices. Google has included Laser Autofocus in both the device which allows faster focusing on images along with Dynamic Autofocus making focusing better. Even the front camera has 1.4 μM pixels making it good at low light photos as well.
Operating System
Google has announced that both the devices will be running on stock Android Marshmallow 6.0. the company also announced many new features with the new OS like decreased Bloatware, the option to delete the pre-installed applications and app permissions feature which is great news for users to help make devices faster.
Battery
the Nexus 6P comes with a bigger 3450 mAh battery in comparison to the 2700mAh battery in the Nexus 5X. The difference in the display size and the QHDdispaly along with the more powerful processor all add up to bring the battery life of both the devices to similar levels in spite of the bigger battery capacity in Nexus 6P.
Both the devices come with Fingerprint sensor which Google is calling as Nexus Imprint which also works with Google Pay. the come with Laser Autofocus and 1.55 μM pixels cameras. Apart from the Display size, battery and the Processor the other features are similar in both the devices.

If you are looking for a stock Android device with a bigger display blindly go with the Nexus 6P and if you are not a lover of bigger display devices then Nexus 5X is the one for you with a compact yet powerful 5.2-inch display.
