Nikon recently launched their latest flagship DSLR about a month ago and Nikon India announced the pricing and availability of the device on Monday. The Nikon D850 is going to be available in India starting September 7th onwards at a price tag of Rs 2,54,950 for just the body. The company is also offering a lens bundle with the device which will include an AF-S Nikkor 24-120MM lens and the body for a price of Rs 2,99,950.
The company also announced a few launch offers and the complimentary launch offer bundles you with an AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G prime lens when you buy either the NIKKOR 70-200mm lens or a 200-500mm lens with the body. The other complimentary offer is the inclusion of AF-S VR 70-300mm lens when you purchase the AF-S NIKKOR 24-70 f/2.8G ED along with the body or one of the body kits. All customers will also receive a Jealiot Runner 0702 DSLR Backpack to carry your Body and the lens kit along with you on your adventures. Even a 64GB UHS-1 Class high-speed SD Card is included with every purchase of Nikon D850.
This new flagship from Nikon boasts a 45.7 MP full frame CMOS sensor without any optical low pass filter so that the sensor can preserve all the sharpness in the captured images. It uses the Nikon’s EXPEED 5 image processor which enables full resolution burst capture at 7 frames per second. The Nikon D850 also comes with a wide ISO range of 64 to 25,600 which can be further expanded up to 32-102,400. The 153 point autofocus system on this camera with 99 cross type autofocus points results in instant focus. The camera also allows video recording in 4K up to 30fps or in 1080p at up to 120fps.
This device has a rugged body made out of magnesium alloy which results in an extremely sturdy device which can easily handle minor shocks without causing much damage. The device is weather sealed, protecting it from moisture and humidity damage. The Nikon D850 also comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth which you can use with Nikon’s SnapBridge feature to transfer images from the camera to smartphone even when the camera is switched off. The device comes with a 3.2-inch color screen with 2.35 million dots and has a touch screen and a tilt sensor functionality.
Apart from all this, the D850 also has an electronic shutter for live view mode which helps in silent capturing. This can be of great use for macro shots while capturing insects or wild life. There are three choices while capturing in RAW mode lets you choose the detail and size to your requirement, and the dual memory card slots allow for the usage of XQD or SD cards. The buttons on the Nikon D850 are all backlit and the focus peaking reads out for 1080p video or while shooting stills in the live mode. The 4K time lapses have an ability to be boosted to up to 8K in the post, the device also comes with HDMI output and input for External microphone and monitoring headphones.
