Nikon has launched three new cameras in their Coolpix line-up – A900, B700 and B500 compact zoom cameras. All three cameras come with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to help in connecting to Nikon’s SnapBridge app which is “always-on”.
The Coolpix B500 comes with a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor along with 40x optical zoom. It comes with hybrid VR to help in preventing accidental camera shakes. The device comes with full-HD video recording and a tilting 920K-dot 3-inch LCD display. One disappointing feature of the camera is the lack of rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, but the camera users AA batteries which is quite old fashioned in this age. The Nikon B500 is priced at $299 which is approximately Rs. 20,000
The Coolpix B700 is the mid range camera out of the three which sports a 20.3-megapixel camera with BSI CMOS sensor and comes with 60x optical zoom. It comes with a 3-inch tiltable LCD display and supports RAW format. With the massive 60x zoom available it can be useful for wildlife photography where zoom is a must. It comes with various creative shooting modes and supports 4K video recording as well. The Nikon B500 is priced at $499 which is approximately Rs. 33,500
The Coolpix BA900 comes with a 20-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor along with a 3-inch tilting display with 920k-dot resolution. It comes with 4K video recording option at 30fps. The device is kept compact to help photography enthusiasts in their travel adventures and capture each and everything they wish to without thinking about the pain in carrying a heavy camera around. The Nikon B500 is priced at $399 which is approximately Rs. 27,000.
