WhatsApp, the leading messenger for both Android and iPhone has launched new features for Android App and iPhone App. From the Android and iOS Apps, users can now share documents as well – at the moment it is only supporting PDF files.
The option to send documents is available for both Android users iOS users, For users who have not yet got the feature, when you try to send a document you will be getting a message “user you are sending to dosen’t have the latest version of WhatsApp”. The latest version with which the update will be rolling out is – version 2.12.453 through Google Play.
Some users have started getting the update already and as it will be released in batches depending on region you will be getting it based on your region and device. If you are not getting the update directly through Google Play and want to use it immediately without waiting, you can install the WhatsApp Messenger 2.12.493 Apk on your device (APK file source: Phoneradar.com), this the advanced version of the App compared to the one available on Google Play Store and WhatsApp official website.
How to Send PDF Documents through WhatsApp:
- Just tap on the Attach Files icon present to the right of the user or Group name
- In the list you will find the “Document” option first in the list along side Camre and above Audio options
- Tap on the Documents icon and you will be seeing the list of .pdf ( only pdf files are being supported at the moment)
- Select the file which you want to send and you are done
With this feature WhatsApp is going to get even more attractive as sending documents was restricted to Emails and users will not be using it for official purpose, it will be a great addition to regular users to send regular files through WhatsApp removing the laborious process of sending files through Emails.
