One of the most awaited features in Instagram is being tested, the multiple account support for Android devices is being tested by the company on multiple devices. It will be a welcome change for users like myself who have two entirely different interests one being technology and another dentistry. This will also be useful for users who have small businesses to toggle between personal account and their business account.
The news about the release was first seen by Android Police, according to them the version 7.12.0 of the app has given the new multiple account support feature to the users across multiple smartphones. This update can be obtained by enrolling in the app’s official play store beta testing program or by installing through APK file.
If you are one of the users who has been upgraded to the latest version you will start see under options an Add Account option below the clear search History. You will also see an option to Log Out of your current account or from all accounts. When you press the Add account option you will get the option to sign in to your additional account or create a new account.
To manage your multiple accounts, there is an option on the top left side of your display where your account name is displayed. On tapping it a drop down option is seen with all the accounts saved, from the image we can make out that you can add more than two accounts. According to Android Police the feature has been live for a while and seems to be on a cloud roll out. Note that all those updating to the 7.12.0 will not be getting the feature.
