Xiaomi has launched their latest power bank in India, the 20000mAh power bank which is not just higher in capacity but is lighter as well at 338 grams, it is actually lighter than the 16000mAh power bank which is 350 grams in weight. Hugo Barra had promised at the Redmi Note 3 launch event in India about the availability of the 20000mAh Mi power bank here in India.
The lower weight of the 20000mAh power bank is thanks to the ABS plastic body decreasing the weight of the device compared to the aluminum body of the other Mi power banks, this not just decreases the weight but also gives better grip and prevents from scratches.
The 20000mAh power bank comes with two standard USB slots and one micro USB slot along with battery level indicator LEDs. The two standard USB slots can charge two devices at a time. The power bank comes with an output of 5.1V / 2.1A (3.6A max) and comes with fast charging using 5V/2A 9V/2A 12V/1.5A. With fast charging, it takes just 3 hours to charge the power bank to 11000mAh. Based on testing results by Xiaomi the power bank is said to charge the Mi 4 for 4.5x times, iPhone 6 for 7x times, iPAd Mini for 3x times and Macbook for 1.2x times.
The batteries available inside are manufactured by LG and Panasonic and it promises up to 93% conversion rate which is quite impressive and with the 20000mAh capacity at offer, it will last for quite some time, useful on long trips.
The Xiaomi Mi 20000mAh Power bank will be available through flash sales at 11AM, 2PM and 5PM on April 6th on Mi.com and is priced at Rs. 1699.
