Microsoft’s hardware event is going on and the company is making marvelous announcements. One such includes the Surface Pen. The Surface Pen has been announced with the Surface Pro 4 and is designed to increase the productivity and efficiency.
The new Surface Pen has been mainly designed for Surface Pro 4 and also as an answer to the Apple Pencil. The stylus features looks similar to that of Surface Pro 3 Pen but has a lot more to offer now. This time the stylus is really sensitive and can detect 1024 levels of pressure.
At the event, Microsoft didn’t hesitate in taking a dig at the Apple Pencil that was recently announced, saying that “there is a pencil that actually doesn’t have an eraser”, while we are giving the same to our pen!
The stylus comes in different colors like silver, gold, red, blue and black. It even offers 24 different pen tips which makes it perfect for almost every type of work like sketching, drawing etc. To make it easier to handle, the Pen can be attached to the top of Surface Pro 4.
The stylus even comes with an eraser on the top on which the Microsoft device chief mocked Apple Pencil by saying that despite being a pencil, it doesn’t offer an eraser.
The only downside with the Surface 4 Pen is that the batteries can’t be changed like Apple pencil. Although the company claims that the stylus will run on those batteries for an year. The stylus will come with Surface Pro 4 which has been priced at $899 and would be up for sale on 26th October.
At the event, Microsoft also launched the new smartphones, i.e. the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, and an ultimate laptop, the Microsoft Surface Book was also announced as the first laptop made by Microsoft.
Another accessory that is worth the attention, was the display dock that helps connect the Windows 10 phones to any screen and turn them into a computer.
