Microsoft is on rage right now, it is just throwing cool stuff out of its hat right one after another in it’s event. And one of the biggest attraction was Microsoft Continuum for Windows 10 mobile phones which would turn your phone in to a PC.
Basically, Continuum is going to work with the latest phones by Microsoft; Lumia 950 and 950 XL. With the help of Continuum, you can plug an HDMI cable to your smartphone and then use it as a PC and run Microsoft’s universal apps.
Update: The Display Dock HD-500 is going to be priced at $99, and it will go on sale along with the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, sometime in November.
Also you can connect a keyboard and a mouse to make your experience better. To make the process easier, Microsoft has also announced Continuum Dock. It is a kind of adapter which helps you connect your phone easily. It comes with a DisplayPort, HDMI and 3 USB ports out of which one is a USB Type-C port. The dock even comes with its own power supply which will help you charge the phone simultaneously while using it as a PC.
It is not exactly a Windows 10 PC, the task bar has signal and battery information on the top. You can’t call it a full PC but yes, it does allow you to run various applications and does give you a PC-ish experience.
