LG has announced the Rolly keyboard 2 successor to the Rolly keyboard which was unveiled at the IFA 2015 last year. This is a decent upgrade from the Rolly which has just 4 rows of keys and insufficient space which did not give an immersive typing experience. The Rolly 2 comes with 5 rows of keys now with an additional row added on the top to accommodate Numbers, symbols and function keys making it an wholesome Keyboard.
The Rolly keyboard 2 comes with a fold out stand which supports smartphones in vertical mode as well and supports Android 4.0 or later, iOS 7 or later, Mac OS X 10.7 or later, Windows 7 or later via Bluetooth 3.0. If you are into using multiple devices at the same time the keyboard comes with an auto pairing function to connect to three different devices at the same time and toggle between them with a simple key press.
The keyboard can be rolled into a compact stick form and helps to be easily carried around. The keyboard also comes with more spacing between the keys which now allows easy and better typing experience to the user compared the previous model. On the connectivity front as well this keyboard is an upgrade as it connects to 3 devices at a time compared to the 2 devices limit in the earlier model.
The Rolly keyboard 2 is powered by AAA battery which is said to give 3.5 months of battery life on average use. The LG Rolly 2 has been launched in Korea and priced at 129,000 Korean Won which is US$ 111 or Rs. 7445 approximately. There are no details about the global roll out of the keyboard yet
