16GB iPhones are still a thing and people are still buying it in 2016 which is not only senseless on Apple’s part but also sad that people are still buying it. This is the sole reason that Apple knows there’s a market for these 16GB iPhones and they still make them. Cloud storage is an option that we all have on our smartphones, but it is still not feasible looking at the data plans that most telecom operators have today.
But SanDisk might have a solution. Releasing a new product in their iXpand storage product line-up for iDevices, SanDisk has now launched the new iXpand Memory Case for iPhone that will provide you extra storage using the lightning port and integrated flash storage inside the case itself.
This case seems to be a good option for those who want more storage on their iPhone but you need to have the companion app for the case which will help you in backing up the photos, videos and more files to this case. You can also have the option to get an iXpand case that provides you an extra battery juice of 1900 mAh for extra $40.
Right now the case is only available for the smaller iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S and it might take some time to bring them to the 6 Plus or 6S Plus. The price of this case is also decent starting at $59 for 32GB, $99 for 64GB and $129 for 128GB and you have color options like Red, Grey, Sky and Mint.
This case is a direct competitor to the iPhone Space Pack Storage case from Mophie which makes these cases in 2 versions. One is the 32GB version and another is the 64GB versions which are priced at $149.95 and $199.95 respectively and these come with included battery as well. But as you can see the iXpand case is the one that brings more value for money to the table.
There is one more case from Kuke which was announced through an Indiegogo campaign and is yet to reach the consumers. Kuke promised a better case with less thickness and storage options for 16GB and 64GB but this case is not available in the general market as of now.
Nice. But when we have to charge our iPhone then ? 😀
