Oppo has launched their latest smartphone, a camera focused device with a 13MP front facing camera called the Oppo F1. The device is now up for pre-orders in Europe and it is priced at EUR 229 which is approximately Rs. 16,800 and comes with a selfie stick by Oppo. The device specifications have been spotted on the company’s Europe website.
The Oppo F1 sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels having 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 coating having pixel density of 294ppi. The main aspect of the smartphone is the camera which is a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, it also comes with an 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture with a ¼-inch sensor, the display acts a flash for the front camera in low light conditions. It comes with many additional software features for camera like 8 live colour filters, beautify 3.0 etc.
The Oppo F1 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor clocked at 1.7GHz along with Adreno 405 GPU coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM clocked at 1866MHz, the device comes with 16GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based ColorOS 2.1. The device is sleek and comes with aluminium body measuring just 7.25mm in thickness. The smartphone is powered by 2500mAh Li-Po battery and comes with connectivity features like 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB connectivity.
With Oppo announcing that the F series of smartphones from the company will be focussing on Camera, the Oppo F1 will be the first device in this series to make its way to India, the expected date of launch in India is January 28th. The price of the device has not been revealed yet in India and it is expected to be around Rs. 16,000 looking at its pricing in Europe.
