With just days left for the release of Samsung’s Flagship Galaxy S series smartphone into the market, there are images of the Galaxy S7 Edge taken in Vietnam, there are images of the Galaxy S7 back with the camera set up seen in another photo. The camera bump which was expected to be non-existant according to rumors seems to be true with the images posted.
The metal frame running around the device also makes it match the rumors of a magnesium metal frame to be used instead of the aluminum one. One thing which was a surprise is the plastic like back panel of the Galaxy S7 which looked pretty ordinary and I feel it is because the device is a prototype.
The Galaxy S7 Edge is the latest to be leaked with the front of the device seen in the images posted. The device in the image shows the curved edges along with the results shown in AnTuTu Benchmark, the same benchmark is available in AnTuTu’s database as well which confirms its authenticity. If this image is to be believed, the Galaxy S7 edge’s model number is going to be SM-G935. Both the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge designs are not much different from their predecessors giving a bump in the specifications.
The Galaxy S7 Edge is said to sport a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display with both the S7 and S7 Edge having either the Exynos 8890 chipset or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC based on the market it is released in. The Snapdragon 820 SoC is said to be 15% more powerful in terms on CPU and GPU tests in comparison. Both the devices come with 4GB of RAM and sports a 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP or 8MP front facing camera. Runs on Android6.0 Marshmallow along with 32GB or 64GB of storage with a microSD card slot. They will be powered by a 3600mAh battery with Fast Charging from 0-80% in just 30 minutes.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will be unveiled on Samsung Unpacked Event on February 21st and according to rumors the devices will be going on sale from March 18th.
