The electronics accessories brand Stuffcool has recently launched their new 10,000mAh power bank at an MRP of Rs 2,499. The device comes with a USB Type-C port for both input and output of power. The power bank comes with a range of I/O options including microUSB, Type- A USB and USB Type-C. The Stuffcool power bank comes with fast charging support at 3A output using the Type-C port.
The Stuffcool Power bank comes with a capacity of 10,000mAh and uses a Lithium Polymer battery. The output on the Stuffcool Power bank through the USB port is 5V/2A and through USB Type-C is up to 5V/3A. This is similar to the input rates for charging the device, the input through the micro USB port is 5V/2A and through a Type-C charger is up to 5V/3A. The Stuffcool Power bank has a capacity of 10,000mAh at a 3.7V output and uses a 37WH battery to support it.
The Stuffcool Power bank comes with a plastic body with a textured matte black panel, the product by itself doesn’t look premium and offers a very simple approach. The power bank offers good grip in hand and is very easy to carry, the design of the Stuffcool Power bank is very thin and sleek, it fits in minimum volume and is extremely portable. The overall size of the Stuffcool Power bank is much smaller than the Xiaomi 10,000mAh Mi Power bank 2i.
The fast charging on the Stuffcool Power bank is very limited, the device supports fast charging on a few devices including the Pixel 3 that helps bring the device from 0 to 100 in just 1 hour 40 minutes. The power bank itself takes about 5 hours to charge completely using a USB Type-C cable. We tried charging the OnePlus 6t and the Samsung S9+ and the Stuffcool Power bank wasn’t successful in fast charging either of the devices. The Stuffcool Power bank doesn’t support the 9V/2A standard need for most fast charging implementations including Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging, Qualcomm Quick Charge, the power bank doesn’t even support the OnePlus Dash Charge technology limiting the ability of the Stuffcool Power bank to a very small range of devices.
The power bank comes with a LED indicator to show the battery levels, there LED indicator is present on the opposite side of the power button and lights up when the power button is pressed, or a USB cable is connected for charging. The four LED indicators help indicate clearly the remaining battery left when charging an external device and the remaining battery that needs to be charged when charging the power bank itself. Talking about the connectivity, the device comes with a USB Type-C port for the fast charging and has 2 regular USB port for charging at 5V/2A. The power bank can be charged using the microUSB port or the Type-C port.
We could get about two full charges on the Samsung Galaxy S9+ from the Stuffcool Power bank, while the power bank is rated at a capacity of 10,000mAh, we’ve regularly seen that the testing capacity is generally much lesser mainly because of the electrical loss in transmission. The conversion rate on the Stuffcool Power bank turned out about 70% on an average which is slightly lesser than the average 75-80%. The charging speeds on the Stuffcool Power bank is pretty good, despite the device not supporting fast charging on the main test product, it was able to charge the Samsung S9+ to a 100 in about 2 hours. The device doesn’t support the common Quick Charge technologies and is very limited. Charging the power bank from 0 to 100 took about 5 hours.
The Stuffcool Power bank supports pass-through charging allowing you to charge the connected device and the power bank at the same time. The power bank stays cool for the most time and we could only notice a little heat when multiple devices were connected to the power bank. The brand promises that the power bank will last at least 500 charge and discharge cycles and offers 6 months of warranty. The Stuffcool Power bank comes with a long list of safety protections against the surge, under voltage, over voltage, over-temperature, and others.
Overall, the Stuffcool Power bank is a pretty good buy, however, the limited Fast charge options are the biggest downside. The device has an MRP of Rs 2,499 and retails often on Amazon and their own website for about Rs 1,999. This price gathers stiff competition especially form the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2i which supports more fast charging options. The Stuffcool Power bank, however, offers a very slim design and offers good grip making it a good buy if portability is a prime necessity.
