In a recent announcement, Honor showcased their latest smartphone in Hong Kong. The latest smartphone from Honor brings in three world-first technologies in their Honor View 20. This new smartphone from the brand comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera, an All-view display from Honor and Link Turbo technology.
The Honor View 20 takes the industry by a shock with the implementation of the Sony IMX586 sensor on the rear of the smartphone. The Honor View 20 is the first smartphone to make such high-resolution photography possible. This high-resolution sensor is paired with the dual-ISP and dual-NPU on the Kirin 980 chipset which helps the device perform multi-frame image processing that enables the 48MP high-definition image.
The Honor View 20 also brings in a unique FullView display experience with an on-screen camera design for the front shooter, the brand claims that a complex 18-layer technology carefully embeds the front camera in the display area of the screen. This helps immensely increase the display area and pushes it closer to 100%. The brand calls this as the 3.0 era of the FullView display with the first generation bringing in the 18:9 aspect ratio and the 2.0 improving the display coverage by implementing a notch.
Talking about the technology implemented and the aesthetics, Jimmy Xiong, General Manager at Honor says
“As a trendsetter, HONOR continues to push the limits of innovation and product craftsmanship, we endeavor to continually deliver technology breakthroughs to the world and deliver exceptional experiences for our users,”
The Link Turbo technology on the Honor View 20 analyses the usage pattern of the device by the user to switch seamlessly between 4G mobile connectivity and Wi-Fi to boost the download speed, the technology can also use, both the 4G Mobile Data and the Wi-Fi connectivity together to boost the internet speeds.
