Canon India has launched its latest Rayo range of mini projectors, Canon Rayo R4 & Canon Rayo i5, today, in India. The new flagship projectors from Canon, are targeted towards both the business-to-business and business-to-customer segments, in India. They feature a light weight and a compact design for better portability.
Canon Rayo R4
The Rayo R4 comes with an RGB LED light source which can output media at a resolution of 640×480. It can project media up to a maximum size of 236.22 cm when placed at a distance of 3 meters from the screen. The LED light has a maximum brightness of 50 Lumens and a lamp life of 10,000 hours.
The projected image has a 4:3 aspect ratio and offset value of 0%. The project takes input via Mini HDMI/ MHL cable. For audio out, the project has an in-built 1 W speaker with a mono output. It also includes a 3.5 mm audio out jack.
The battery on the Rayo R4 is said to last up 150 minutes of usage at standard brightness. It has the dimensions 71 x 124 x 20 mm and weighs only 169 gms. The Rayo R4’s box package comes included with – AC Adapter, HDMI Cable, MHL Cable, 5 to 11 Pin Gender Tripod, Manual.

Canon Rayo i5
The Rayo i5 also has an RGB LED which has a maximum brightness of 100 Ansi Lumens. The projected output has a WVGA resolution (854×480 pixels), with a 16:9 aspect ratio and can project up to a maximum screen size of 401.32 cm, from a distance of 5 meters.
The Rayo i5 has a lamp life of 20,000 hours and projects at an offset value of 100%. As for the inputs, the i5 can take input through HDMI/MHL cable and also lets users to mirror their smartphones via DLNA. The projector comes with 2 x 0.7 W speakers, which produces a stereo sound. It also has a 3.5 mm audio out jack, using which consumers can connect their speakers or headphones.
The Rayo i5 can last up to 120 minutes of playback at standard brightness. It has the dimensions 111 x 111 x 17.2 mm and weighs around 260 gms. It comes with an AC Adapter, HDMI Cable, Manual, Tripod, OTG Cable.

The Canon Rayo R4 is priced at INR 30,000, while the Canon Rayo i5 would cost you INR 50,000. The two projectors will go on sale in India, starting from June 1, 2018.
