The two major network providers in India, Airtel and Jio, have announced the availability and shared the details about the Apple Watch Series 3, the launch of which with cellular capability was pending for long. The smartwatch is going to be available for pre-order from May 4th on both, Jio.com and Airtel.in online stores. Apart from these, the Jio users can also get the watch from Reliance Digital and Jio Store if they are looking to get one offline.
The statement from Reliance Jio is as follows.
Anyone who pre-books the Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular with a Jio connection, will not only be the first one to get the watch (limited stocks available), but will also have the option to get a priority home delivery, where the watch and the Jio service (including Mobile Number Portability) will be home delivered, and setup for Jio valued customers. With JioEverywhereConnect, the Jio users can use the same number on both, the iPhone as well as on the Apple Watch Series 3. The new service will be available to the iPhone users at no extra cost. Unlike other operators, Jio is extending this benefit for both its prepaid and postpaid subscribers.
Airtel’s statement is as follows.
To help Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) customers get started, Airtel will also offer a special introductory cellular trial. To activate cellular service with Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), customers first need to update iPhone to iOS 11.3 and watchOS 4.3, then tap Settings on iPhone > General > About and follow the prompt to update to the latest carrier settings.
The pricing of the Apple Watch Series 3 for the non-cellular version was set from Rs. 27990 but the price of the cellular one is not yet mentioned and we will have to wait for the pre-orders to begin to update the same. Based on the network provider you use, you can pre-order the watch on the online store if you also have the iPhone compatible with it.
Don’t have any idea how it’s works, will wait for a video by Gizmo times, thanks
