Casio has announced the launch a new smart outdoor watch in their PRO TREK series, the Casio WSD-F20A, on April 17th, at an event in Dover, New Jersey. The watch is powered by the recently revamped Wear OS by Google operating system and an activity tracker.
The new WSD-F20A has Military Standard 810G drop durability, while being water resistant up to 50 meters. Since it is a smartwatch it comes with activity tracker, it tracks wide variety of outdoor and water activities. There’s a Barometer to measure the Atmospheric Pressure at depths and Altitudes, while Altitude is measured by Altimeter.
The LCD screen on the Casio WSD-F20A is a dual layer LCD and there’s also a MicroPhone for voice commands. There’s also a digital compass, which can be helpful when you venture out in the wild. There’s also a Casio MOMENT SETTER+ app which can be used for keeping track of your activities, on your phone.
Casio has also signed on nine major app companies to provide popular outdoor and sports apps. The apps that are showcased in “Featured Apps” section are ViewRanger, Hole19, Fishbrain, and more, which can be downloaded and included onto the device. The smartwatch features low-power GPS and full color maps for navigation and when users are offline, they can use the pre-downloaded maps as guide.
The WSD-F20A is made of a soft black urethane band and buckle, with indigo accents. The smart watch has a protective bezel and button guards on the large three side buttons. The two feature s-enhanced design and operability offered by the WSD-F20A, will make it an essential piece of everyday gear, as the company claims.

The Casio PRO TREK WSD-F20A Smart Outdoor Watch will be available from May at select retailers across USA and can be purchased online at ShopCasio.com. The smartwatch is priced at USD 399 (INR 26,212 approx.).
