Rimac Automobile has built one of the fastest hypercars and put it on show at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The 1,913-horsepower hypercar accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a staggeringly low 1.85 second making it perhaps the fastest car in the market, the car even outperforms the next generation Tesla Roadster that surprised us with a promised 0 to 60 mph time of 1.9 seconds.
This isn’t the first car from the manufacturer as they’ve already launched the Rimac Concept one which is a 1,073-horsepower hypercar powered by four electric motors. The new Rimac C_Two comes with a 120kWh battery that offers up to 400 miles of range, this will put the car in one of the highest ratings in terms of range for an electric car. The car also implements facial recognition to unlock as well as start the car.
The company claims that the car can reach a speed of 100mph from a standstill position in just 4.3 seconds and run down a quarter mile track in just 9.1 seconds. The C Two has a top speed of 258 mph. The car also comes with Level 4 autonomous capabilities and comes with eight cameras, 12 ultrasonics and up to two LIDAR. This will be one of the most technologically advanced cars when it launches, combining the convenience of facial recognition and harvesting the power of electric motors that are specifically tuned to both offer excellent range as well as provide brutal power to the wheels.
The company hasn’t talked about the pricing yet but we’re almost certain it would cross the million mark, the production will be limited to 150 units which are a major improvement over the 8 pieces that the company has made of the original Rimac Concept One.
