The next Nokia-branded smartphone is just about to get launched in India, as we see HMD Global scheduling an event for October 31st, and it is probably going to be the Nokia 7 that might get officially launched, though it is not confirmed. The company is going to hold an event in Gurugram in India, and after the recent launches of the trio of budget to mid-range devices, the company had also made the flagship Nokia 8 available in India for the price of Rs. 36999.
The Nokia 7 was recently launched in China for the price of 2499 Yuan, and if HMD Global manages to bring it as close to the cost in China, it will be an offering from the company in the price range that doesn’t hold a lot of options for the users.
Only if it is the Nokia 7 to go official later, here are some of the details about it. The Nokia 7 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB and 6GB RAM options, 64GB storage and MicroSD storage expansion, and a 3000 mAh battery. The famous “Bothie” feature that was highlighted on Nokia 8 with the usage of the front and rear cameras together is going to be seen on even the Nokia 7.
While whatever the device it is, HMD Global mentions that it is a global launch and thus, it will be seen with full anticipation. Nokia as a smartphone brand has been operating under the parent company HMD Global and in India, the company has been already hitting good numbers and has climbed up to the top four spots for the shipments in the last quarter in India. This puts it in contention with brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, Lenovo and Motorola, Vivo, and OPPO.
We will update with more details whenever available, and will be covering the event live on October 31st to bring to you the latest details on the device that is getting launched.
