Though Apple has not officially mentioned that the company is going to announce the new iPhone for 2017, the event scheduled for September 12th has all the indications for that happening. As is the case every year, it is almost time for the new iPhone to get unveiled and we might see a few other announcements happening as well on the same day, when Apple for the first time is going to have the presser at the Steve Jobs Theater.
The launch of the different operating systems is anyway going to happen as the beta releases are happening currently after the official announcements at the WWDC 2017. It will be the launch of iOS 11, macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11.
The next generation iPhone, supposedly the iPhone 8 is said to be coming with the edge-to-edge display, a 3D face-scanning camera and a lot of new inclusions as this marks the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and Apple is said to be prepping up for some surprises. Also, if the rumors are to be believed, we might see the regular upgrade from the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and then the iPhone 8 as the special edition one.
Apple might also be coming with the 4K model of the Apple TV set-top-box and an upgrade to the Apple Watch, i.e. the Series 3 will be introduced. Whatever the expectation, we are sure this should be the biggest announcement from the company this year and we will cover the event live with all the details on September 12th.
If you are excited about it, Apple is going to live stream the keynote like it does always, and for you to watch it, here are the requirements – An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).
