WhatsApp has finally pushed out the much-needed update for Windows phone bringing in new homepage layout, media sharing limit to 30 and much more. The update with version 2.17.52 arrives for Windows Mobile 8.1 and Windows 10.
Increasing the media sharing limit is a much-needed update for any operating system, WhatsApp has rolled out the update to iOS users recently, While it is still in beta for Android users. Mspoweruser mentions that the new update brings in new homepage layout with Microsoft’s new Pivot style which we’ve seen on many Microsoft Native apps.
The Facebook-owned WhatsApp is also working on bringing changes to its status message feature by bringing new functionalities with the improved Status section. WhatsApp might soon notify every time a user changes their status, the company will also allow you to mute and unmute the status notification for specific users, you can keep a check on the mute list if required.
This new WhatsApp status feature will let you reply to contact’s Status message; a feature similar to Snapchats Stories. This new feature was seen in WhatsApp beta for Windows Phone 2.17.44+ version. These new features including status notifications, commenting on contacts Status updates will be made available to all Android and iOS in the coming days.
