The Honor 8 from Huawei is officially getting launched on 12th October. We’ve got the official invite for the same, and it is said that the Honor 8 is not the only phone to be launched on that day, as the company plans to announce its first smartphone under the Make in India campaign.
The Honor 8 brings about a lot of changes from its predecessor, the Honor 7 that was one of the best mid-range smartphones of 2015. There is a dual-lens rear camera setup with two 12-megapixel cameras having different sensors, one being an RGB sensor while the other one being a monochrome one. Apart from this, the Honor 8 has a beautiful glass body and there is a 5.2-inch Full HD display and Huawei’s own Kirin chipset powers the phone.
It will supposedly be a single SIM variant of the device that will be available in India, just like the Honor 7. While there could be 32GB an 64GB storage variants of the device, both will have 4GB of RAM included.
The 3000 mAh battery in the Honor 8 supports quick charging and there is a USB Type-C port available on the device. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Emotion UI 4.1 over it.
We will be live from the event and cover it live so stay tuned for the updates, as the company plans to come up with another smartphone as well, which should come under the Make in India campaign and should be priced lesser than the Honor 8.
