UCWeb, an Alibaba Business Group Company has announced their new UC Browser by partnering with Colors TV to provide exclusive content and News Feed as an integral part of the UC Browser. With this partnership Alibaba Mobile Business Group is concentrating on digitizing entertainment content on mobile to be viewed on the go which is fast catching up with the likes of LeEco providing content in a similar fashion in their smartphones. This feature will enable users who have access to internet on the go to view content on the go.
The company is making sure that the UC Browser evolves from being just a browser to a mobile media asset by including news feed from UC News as an integral part of the browser. The company mentions that the UC Browser is the No-1 independent browser in India and Indonesia by offering mobile search and news feeds to over 420+ million monthly active users globally making it one of the world’s top 3 mobile browsers according to StatsCounter.

With the new UC Browser the users get direct access to news feed from UC News which is an App exclusively launched for India market in June 2016. The user has the option to choose or select the topics which should be seen in the news feed giving the user choice to view their desired latest news. The Browser has multiple language support like Hindi, Tamil, etc. With the partnership with Colors TV which is India’s leading Entertainment TV channel to provide digital entertainment on the go. The partnership is mainly concentrated around four marquee shows on Colors – Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, 24, Big Boss and Comedy Nights Live. UCWeb will create multiple engagement platforms around these shows for the users of UC Browser, 9Apps and UC News.
With this collaboration the users of UC Browser can get access to behind the scene content of Jalak Dikhhla Jaa on the homepage in the exclusive fan zone. There is also a blog by Manish Paul, the host of the show giving views about the show in his own way.
