It seems like Micromax is all set to expand the game. After giving tough competition to industry leading manufacturers like Samsung in India, and securing the first place for the best selling Smartphone manufacturer in India, Micromax is spreading out its arena with the launch of 2 new UHD televisions powered by the Android operating system.
One of the two new Smart TV’s announced by Micromax houses a 42 inch screen (42C0050UHD) and the other features a 49 inch display (50K2330UHD). Both these run at 4K UHD resolution and feature the Android operating system. Which means, both the televisions will be able to run apps downloaded from the Google Play Store.
The 42 inch variant features Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, a UHD screen resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, 178 degree viewing angle and also features a Dual core processor and GPU with 2 GB RAM, 2.2 GB built in storage with MicroSD card expansion supported up to 32 GB. Other features include WIFI support, Smart Remote, Gravity sensors and Miracast support. The 42 inch Smart UHD TV is priced at RS. 39,990. Port options include 2 USB 2.0 ports, 3 HDMI ports and a USB 3.0 port.
The 49 inch TV variant brings up Android 4.4 Kitkat, UHD resolution of 3840×2160 pixels, 178 degree viewing angle, Dual core CPU and a Quad core GPU, 1 GB RAM, 2.5 GB in built storage, MicroSD support up to 32 GB and WIFI. The port options of the 49 inch variant include 2 USB 2.0 ports, 2 HDMI ports and a USB 3.0 port, and is priced at RS. 49,990.
Both the devices will be exclusively available via Flipkart.
The Doodle 4 does not assist 4G networks, which is now a common feature in newly launched telephones.
