Motorola has taken off its wraps from the latest Moto E device, the Motorola Moto E3. While the new device sees a bigger screen size, there are other important specs too beefed up from the Moto E 2nd gen., just like how the Moto G4 did from the Moto G 3rd gen.
Along with the 5-inch HD display, the Moto E3 has a built-in smudge-resistant screen protector, and Motorola hasn’t mentioned anything about Gorilla Glass or any such screen protection. Internally, the Moto E3 is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage, with a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion.
Motorola has given the device a splash-proof casing to keep the Moto E3 safe from spills and splashes. Everything about the specs seems decent, except for the 1GB RAM that might not seem very enough for multitasking. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, and you should be aware of how Motorola keeps things simple when it comes to the interface.
The camera combination on the device includes an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. One of the very good upgrades from the predecessor is the inclusion of a 2800 mAh battery, which should do well for a Motorola device.
The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity, apart from the other options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS. It looks a lot similar to the Moto G4 and the design is quite promising and good for the price of $99 that is set for it. The Moto E3 will be available in the White and Black color options.
While we know that the phone will be launched in September 2016 in the U.K., we are not yet sure about the availability and pricing in the other markets, including India.
