LG India has just brought the Gram PC, which was quite popular in the western markets for being one of the lightest PCs with that screen size. The compact part adds to the size as well, since although there is a 14-inch screen, the laptop doesn’t look larger than a standard 13-inch laptop.
The LG Gram is made with Carbon Magnesium alloy but still weighs just under 1kg (980gm), and the laptop is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 6200U processor that has a turbo boost of up to 2.8GHz while there are variants with 4GB RAM / 128GB SSD and 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD. The laptop runs Windows 10 Home and for the connectivity, there are Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band 802.11ac WiFi 2×2 (Intel AC7265), 1 x Ethernet, 2x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI port.
The battery in this slim and light laptop is said to be giving a usage of about 7.5 hours. There are dual 1W speakers with the Cirrus Logic DAC (Hi-Fi Audio), and a built-in microphone is also present.
The price for LG Gram 14 with 4GB RAM with 128GB SSD (only Black variant) is set at Rs. 79,990 (MRP), and the one with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD (only Golden variant) is priced at Rs. 94,999 (MRP). Currently, the better variant is priced at Rs. 84,499 on Paytm, where it is being sold exclusively. There is an additional cashback of Rs. 8,000 on PayTM currently.
Later, the laptop will be available at all LG brand stores and IT Multi-brand outlets.
