Sony India today launched a new Bluetooth speaker that takes advantage of the Extra Bass technology, as the portable SRS-XB3 Bluetooth speaker gets available in India for the best price of Rs. 9990 (with the MRP of Rs. 12990).
The EXTRA BASS technology is used to deliver deep and punchy bass sound. Sony’s DSP (digital signal processor) processing technology works along with Extra Bass technology to deliver the richer sound. The SRS-XB3 has a 48 mm large full-range speaker unit that has a powerful embedded magnet and a long stroke, which helps in retaining deeper bass. There is also dual passive radiators included in the speakers.
There is support for both, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity, and thanks to the USB-A port via. a USB cable, a smartphone can be charged using the speaker’s battery. Two speakers can be connected together and the double mode helps in sending out the audio to the two speakers at the same time.
There is an 8800 mAh battery packed into the speaker, and the company claims that it is enough to give about 24 hours of playback time when on full charge. These are splashproof, thus can be a good one to carry on the poolside, or during showers, but don’t confuse them with water-resistant properties.
The Sony SRS-XB3 speakers come with the LDAC audio coding technology that is said to be three times faster in the transmission of data, thus providing a lag-free playback, and it is also claimed to be “the first in the world to offer audio quality in the Hi-Res class using Bluetooth Audio”.
While the MRP of the SRS-XB3 speakers from Sony is Rs. 12990, the best buy price is Rs. 9990. It will be available across all the major electronic stores and Sony exclusive stores. The color options available are Black, Blue, and Red.
