Reddit has launched their official App for iOS and Android platforms, the company had earlier revealed about working on the same. Reddit has not been much Mobile friendly and always concentrated on Desktop users, with this new update the mobile users are taken care of. This official App lets you Browse, update and view the site through customized themse and it also comes with a day / night mode for reading.
Reddit had launched an unofficial iOS app called Alien Blue back in 2014 and the company mentioned that the old app will be functional for existing users. But according to Ashley Higgins, product manager of Reddit the team behind the App will be moving forward to work on the new Official App. New users can only download the Reddit Official App and the Alien Blue App will not be available.
Reddit: The Official App available for Android at the moment will be made available for all iOS users as well shortly. There are many third party applications available for Reddit which offer reading options and you might be already using some applications presently, so if you are looking forward to downloading the Reddit: The Official App to try it out it is available on Google Play Store for Android users and the app for iOS csn install it but the App is not available in all regions at the moment. Some of the functions possible with the Reddit app are Browse all of Reddit, wherever you are. Search and discover communities by topic or interest and you can even Submit your own comments, images, links, and stories for others to view and discuss.
There are many negative comments about the App in Play Store and you can try the App to see if it suites you or you can wait for a couple of updates by Reddit to fix the existing errors and install a fully working App.
