Apple recently announced two new products, the iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro which is the smaller variant of the iPad Pro. At the same time Apple released their latest iOS 9.3 with Night Shift and other features to their iPhone and iPad users, some iPad 2 users complained of their device becoming bricked after they updated to the latest iOS 9.3 OS. This problem started to arise when the users tried to enter the AppleID and Password. When a wrong password was entered the device entered into Bricked State, it is seen not just in iPad 2 but also in other iPhone and iPad users.
Apple has thus released a new build numbered 13E236 for the iPad 2 (GSM models in particular) which is said to fix this problem. The update can be installed on your iPad 2 by going to Settings and updating to the new firmware or the same can be done through iTunes.
Older Apple devices like iPhone 5S or earlier and iPad Air or earlier require Apple ID and password to set up the device and complete installation of the Software update. Without the Apple ID and password the device cannot be activated and the installation of the latest Firmware will not be completed. Apple has mentioned that they have pulled back the update and will release an updated version of the iOS 9.3 in the next few days which will bypass this step.
So if you are iPhone 5S or earlier and iPad Air or earlier user, it will be best to avoid updating your device to the latest iOS 9.3 until Apple releases the updated version, we will be updating you with the launch of the updated iOS 9.3 OS which will be bypassing the Apple ID and Password step. Apple has also put up a support page for the problems faced with iOS 9.3 update which is linked in the Source below.
